Who Todd is

Todd Michael Gori is an American author and builder. He publishes books under the names Todd Gori and Todd Michael, and runs ToddMichael.tv, the public home for his video, podcast, portfolio and personal story.

His work keeps returning to one idea: an idea is not finished because it sounds good. It should become a system — a written plan, a working website, an automated process, a book or a routine that keeps running after the first burst of energy fades. He calls that approach building by blueprint.

Early life in Maryland

Todd was born in Columbia, Maryland, and grew up in Maryland. He graduated from Century High School in 2007.

He started working early. His first job was at a barber shop, and as a teenager he stacked part-time work at a coffee shop and at GameStop. Those jobs taught him schedules, customers and how money actually moves through a small business.

At seventeen he started his first real business: a dirt bike repair shop run out of the family garage. Repair work taught him that a system either works or it does not — if the part is wrong the bike will not run, and if the work is good, word travels.

Losses, lessons and a rebuild

Not every early decision worked. Todd’s first serious business loss meant selling his own dirt bikes to keep a venture going, a lesson about cash flow, timing and the difference between motion and strategy.

In his memoir he describes a later period as the hardest reinvention of his life. He spent that time reading — business, time management, etiquette, philosophy, textbooks and many spy novels — and came out with a plan. The rebuild started with basics: a stable place to live, an exercise routine and a diet routine, followed by a daily habit of building.

A fresh start in the Philippines

Todd later moved to the Philippines, which he describes as a fresh beginning: a lower cost of living, room to start again and the chance to build a family. His business travel includes regular stops in China, and Asia is part of his long-term plans.

What he builds now

Today Todd works as a hands-on operator with AI. His projects combine AI agents, automation, websites, call flows, publishing and media into one operating stack, with the goal of turning ideas into working systems faster.

He shares that work publicly through ToddMichael.tv, a daily vlog on YouTube and The Todd Michael Podcast on Spotify, which features long-form conversations about life and culture in the Philippines.
